Ground Operations
Broome International Airport (BME) offers comprehensive facilities for aviation operators, including designated apron spaces, refuelling, and full ground handling support.
Whether you’re operating a commercial service, charter flight or private aircraft, our team ensures safe, efficient aircraft parking and grounds operations in Broome.

Aircraft Parking
Our apron facilities include:
- Apron 1: Southern Apron.
- Apron 2: Northern Aprons.
Parking is offered by prior arrangement and is subject to availability, especially during Broome’s busy travel months (April to October).
We recommend contacting our team early to secure a bay and ensure a seamless arrival.
Parking Procedures
All aircraft not based at BIA must request parking in advance by submitting a BIA Parking Request Form to the operations team. Submit a BIA Parking Request Form to Operations with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice. We recommend early contact to confirm availability. See our guidelines below.
Itinerant General Aviation (GA) Parking
Available for Code A and Code B aircraft (maximum wingspan 15 metres). Parking east of Taxiway G with space for about eight aircraft.
When GA Parking is full
Contact the Safety Officer at 0437 900 566 for alternative arrangements.
Incorrect parking
Aircraft parked incorrectly may need to be repositioned at the pilot’s expense.
Itinerant Helicopter Parking
Available at the Northern Pad, east of the Engine Run-up Bay off Taxiway F.
International Flights
All international arrivals/departures must complete the BIA Parking Request Form and coordinate separately with Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine.
